Svetoslav Milanov, executive director of Investbank, was awarded CEO of the year.
Svetoslav Milanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Director of "Investbank" JSC won the award for CEO of the year during the tenth edition of the annual "Company of the Year" awards, organized by Business Lady magazine and club. The financial institution also received another award – an ESG leader award.
"It is an honor for me to accept this prestigious award and I would like to emphasize that it is actually for everyone who works at Investbank. This award is the result of many years of tireless work and is especially valuable at a time of economic turbulence and serious geopolitical crises. This shows that we are a good team with good management decisions.
A few years ago, Investbank started its transformation from a traditional to a modern digital bank. I am happy to accept the award for CEO of the year precisely on the eve of our anniversary – the bank turns 30 years in which we have always been there for our customers. This is a serious request and implies responsibilities and a promise that we will continue to build on what has been achieved and justify the trust of our customers," said Svetoslav Milanov during the ceremony.
The CEO of Investbank is strongly committed to the digital transformation of the company, and his efforts and interests in this area managed to position the financial institution as a Digital Bank for 2023. As a continuation of this trend, at the beginning of June, Investbank became the first bank in Bulgaria, which launched the blink parking service for its mobile banking users.
On behalf of the bank, Svetoslav Milanov also accepted the award awarded to the financial institution in connection with the transformation to a sustainable business. "Being an ESG leader is our priority. In a world where sustainability is becoming an imperative, we are firmly committed to responsible and sustainable financing. These processes cannot happen if employees do not recognize the idea of ESG as their cause, and we could not have achieved this progress in such a short time if it were not for the dedication of the entire Investbank team. Colleagues, this award is for you!", the executive director of the bank also said.
At the end of May, the financial institution published its first Communication ESG report.
Over the past year, Investbank has shifted its focus to financing projects to support the fight against climate change. Some of them are related to the production of electricity from renewable sources, others to the energy efficiency of enterprises. The financial institution continues its quest to increase the share of "green" financing in its portfolio.
The bank's main sustainability plan sets out three general objectives: supporting the sustainable transition in companies and society, leading a role in best management practices and leadership in terms of social impact and promoting social inclusion.
