Investbank launches the “blink parking” service for users of its mobile application
"Investbank" is the first bank in Bulgaria to launch the blink parking service for its mobile banking users. With the new functionality of the Ibank Mobile application, customers can quickly and easily pay for parking in blue and green zones in Sofia, as well as in more than 20 other cities in the country.
The innovative service is an alternative to SMS payment for parking, but users do not owe an additional fee for using this functionality. There is also no fee for the bank transaction itself, only the value of the parking is paid, with no added costs.
"The new functionality of Ibank Mobile is extremely user friendly. Customers use one app for everything – to bank, pay bills and now park. For us, customer satisfaction is an absolute priority, and technology and innovation appear as tools with which we achieve our goals. In the last 3 years, we have digitized almost all our services and products, which are highly secure, time-saving and accessible 24/7, without the need to visit a financial center. We are now starting to build on this and add further value with even greater attention to detail. Such a service is blink parking," said Margarita Stoyanova, director of the Digital Services and Customer Service Center Directorate at Investbank.
The service was developed by the National Card and Payment Scheme, part of BORICA, and Investbank was the first financial institution to implement it. Blink parking is part of the blink instant payment system.
In addition to instant payment and registration of parking, blink parking also offers other useful and convenient functionalities to facilitate users. The built-in localization of the location of the car automatically determines in which zone the car is located and, accordingly, what amount must be paid. With blink parking, customers can choose the parking time or extend it with a new payment if the zone allows it. Ibank mobile also notifies when the paid hour expires. Through the mobile application, customers can create a profile of their vehicle and track their parking history and associated payments for this service.
So far, over 20 municipalities have joined the new parking payment system. This is about 65% of all settlements with a blue and green zone, and it is expected that more municipalities will be included by the end of the year, with which the coverage will exceed 75%.
The scope of blink parking is about to be expanded and soon this service will be able to be used by Investbank customers to pay private parking lots as well as fines for improper parking.
The introduction of blink parking comes on the eve of Investbank's 30th anniversary, with the new service being a natural extension of the financial institution's transformation from a traditional to a modern digital bank.
